Benjamín Valdez Iraheta

Professional Biography

Between 1980 and 1984 he worked in different diplomatic positions, representing El Salvador before different governments and international forums.
He has a master's degree in Public International Law from the University of Paris; and, since 1984, he has been fully dedicated to practicing as an independent professional.
He has been a professor at several universities on topics such as Public International Law and Mergers and Acquisitions.
He was a founding partner of the firm Rusconi, Valdez, Medina y Asociados and in January 2011 he retired from that firm to follow his own business vision and found the first Boutique Law firm in El Salvador, specialized in Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking, Finance and Issuance of Securities in national and foreign markets.
During a professional career that spans more than 40 years, he has been legal advisor to several multinational companies with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, Stock Market and Banking Law, Commercial Law, telecommunications and hydrocarbons.
He has served as a member of the Boards of Directors of prestigious companies, contributing his legal and business knowledge to their development.
He was particularly active during the privatization processes of the electricity and telecommunications sectors and bank sales, which has earned him recognition in prestigious local and international publications.
